A Fall Engagement Session at Oak Mountain State Park with Erin + Bret and Leigh Ann Goodin Photography

The leaves were changing and falling in the most perfect way for a Fall Engagement Session at Oak Mountain State Park. The weather was amazing; spot on for spending some time outside. I was loving my journey up the hill, sipping my diet mountain dew and listening to my audiobook, thankful that God decided to make fall so beautiful in Alabama on my way to have some fun with my LAG Couple Erin + Bret.
We spent our first bit of time together hiking Peavine Falls, where Bret had proposed to Erin earlier this year. We navigated the woods, chose some questionable trails and took lots of pretty portraits! While Erin + Bret changed into their next outfits, I got to play with Erin’s stunning engagement ring and capture it. We moved on down the mountain with some stops along the way and had a blast giggling and having an adventure. The cars passing us along the way probably thought we were nuts, hanging out in a field of weeds on the side of the road. We ended our afternoon together, just as the sun was setting down on the docks at the lake. The light was falling just right, and Erin + Bret were basically professional models at this point!
Erin + Bret, I love that you guys are up for an adventure. I had so much fun going alongside you on this one, and I can’t wait to tag along for your biggest adventure next May! We are going to keep having so much fun and capturing so much joy that your wedding day will bring. See you guys at Mathews Manor in the spring!

A shot like this normally isn’t my style, but when you chase the light until after the sun sets, you’ve got to shoot a good silhouette!

Love + Blessings,
LA
