I sat at the foot of a cross in a corner at church and held Ashley’s hand. Me on one side, another sweet friend on the other. We cried, and prayed, and expressed our frustration and sadness. We let it all out, and held our sweet friend’s hands and let her grieve.
Fast forward almost a year to this moment. To sweet baby Jones- Ashley’s rainbow baby- having arrived. Big brother Jackson beaming with pride beside him. When you reach out to God through your pain, often times His promises reach into your spirit. God did not disappoint! He promised this sweet family that they weren’t yet complete, and because of that, we get to celebrate!
Baby Jones, you are so many of God’s answered prayers. You are one of His promises for your mom and dad. And even your big brother! Your life is an example of trust, hope, and faith. I am so thankful I got to walk alongside your sweet momma before, during, and after you came. I’m looking forward to continuing walking beside her and your family and seeing your destiny unfold and watching you and your big brother grow!
Jackson is the sweetest big brother! These two are going to give their momma a run for her money for sure! I can’t wait to watch their bond as they grow.
I just love those teeny tiny little baby features! The fingers and toes, their ears and their noses! There’s just not anything much sweeter!
