Excitement filled the air. The talented crew was decorating the most beautiful fireplace I’d ever seen. The girls were tucked away in the white bridal suite getting their hair and makeup styled just right. The guys were up the spiral staircase playing Mario Kart, their blue suits hanging beside them. Stunning white florals amongst the perfect greenery filled the room at Micah’s Meadow at Mathew’s Manor. The breeze was blowing outside, and the rain the day before made the temperature just right. It was Erin + Bret’s wedding day.
The stunning simplicity of this wedding day was absolutely spectacular. The green and white paired with all the sparkle, natural light, and pops of color in the bridal party attire couldn’t have been more beautiful. The details were perfection. From a perfume bottle who’s color by chance matched the bridesmaids dresses, to the lace wedding gown that was simply made for the bride, it was like something straight out of a bridal magazine. Tears filled the bride and groom’s parents’ eyes as the ceremony started. The sweet ring bearer provided some comic relief in throwing his pillow into the air at the end of the aisle not one, but three times as the string trio played. Even though the day started out overcast, the clouds cleared and golden hour came just as the reception was dying down. The couple ended their Cinco de Mayo wedding day with the cutest maraca send off and drove off to Atlanta to head to St. Lucia for some much deserved rest and relaxation together.
Erin + Bret, I have had so much fun developing our friendship over your engagement. It’s been a blast to watch all your dreams come together to turn into your perfect wedding day. Thank you for still allowing me to capture your wedding after I couldn’t breathe after our engagement session hike (haha). I loved hearing you tell me how much you trust me with your memories after that session and how much fun you had taking pictures on your big day. You’ve made my photographer’s heart smile on multiple occasions, and I cannot wait to see how wonderfully your marriage is going to unfold.
Love + Blessings,
