The days are long, but the years are short. This first year, was so short. The days, filled with Covid-19 quarantine, working from home without childcare, were so long. But they were so special. They were so unlike any other. Those memories I know we will end up cherishing for our lifetime. I couldn’t wait to make more memories with the Robinson family and Winnie’s first birthday smash cake session in Hoover, Alabama.
I can’t believe sweet Winnie is already a year old! It seems like just yesterday I was visiting her at the hospital for her Fresh 48. Her mom Elise styled this session perfectly, just like before (their pictures are featured in my style guide when it comes to those sessions). We started with Mom’s heirloom first birthday dress and rocking chair, then moved on to a beautiful pink tinted naked cake for smashing! Have I ever told you that smash cake sessions are one of my favorites? Her dad, Bo is definitely wrapped around her finger, making her smile every chance he gets. And that’s a lot! She loves watching dogs and her little elephant lovey and has the most precious curls starting to pop off her head.
Winnie, HAPPY HAPPY birthday, sweet girl! It’s truly always an honor to get called back to document growing littles. I’ve loved keeping up with you on social media the last year, and once again spending time capturing your sweetness. From your sweet cheeks and big, pretty eyes, to your little fingers smashing into the most delicious cake. Enjoy some of my favorites:

Love + Blessings,
LA
