I see a beautiful image of what my future could look like when I look at the Picklesimer family. Cindy is a mom of two boys, like me. Hers are grown now and both are husbands and fathers to their own families. I bet time flew by a lot faster than Cindy ever expected and now the vicious cycle repeats itself with every grandchild. There are five grands running and laughing all over the place now too. Together with her husband, Tony and their whole family, they have their own branch of an amazing family tree. What started with “I do” is now their own extraordinary little family legacy. When I came to visit, they were celebrating holidays and making memories on a piece of land somewhere down a long country road. It’s literally the future my dreams are made of.
I spent one day of last year’s Thanksgiving weekend shooting extended family portraits (I didn’t blog it, as I am unable to blog ALL my family portraits). I knew I wanted to do it again in 2020. Especially in 2020, a year when we can use all the extra joy we can get! So when my friend Megan told me her aunt was looking to have an extended family portrait session done the weekend after Thanksgiving, I was thrilled my prayers had been answered.
Dear Pickles, you guys are SO MUCH FUN! Thank you for welcoming down to Rockford to capture these memories for you. Thank you for trusting me with freezing a moment in time of your family’s legacy. I hope you guys make it a priority to continue doing it every so often! I look forward to watching all the fun things your family is up to next! Here are a few of my favorite images from our time together:

Love + Blessings,
